We had booked here because it is where we had gone for our honeymoon exactly 25 years ago. How can they charge so much with everything being closed? How can they not have the decency to tell folks things are closed? I feel bad for folks who book, arrive and are told on the spot of these closures and then still have to pay such a high price for their rooms. I'm glad we aren't too now as I also saw in other recent reviews their pool is closed as well as the lighthouse. I would not recommend staying here at all. Hotel staff I called didn't sound too apologetic about this.

This led us to have to find other accommodations last minute and cancel with them. A few days before our stay, we were called and told that the building was having renovations and that we would be downgraded to another room with double queens, no jacuzzi and no access to the balcony- definitely not the romantic feel we were looking for with our special 1 year anniversary and we were very upset that we weren't told prior to this (which leads me to beleive that that building must just be falling apart and they need immediate repairs if they are going to be that last minute about telling folks). We had booked a special jacuzzi room, king size with a view and balcony. We booked for out 1 year anniversary and were so excited to stay here.
